Swimming

When we went swimming I saw the coaches. I was very excited. F
irst they had to test us. When they were testing us I had to partner up with Kaufana.

We had to swim half a length of the pool and then come back. The coaches said that Kaufana and I were in group two. The coaches told us that they will always come on Tuesdays and Thursdays to coach us.

Although I love swimming, sometimes I forget to bring my togs and sometimes I don’t feel like swimming, especially if it is cold. Before we start to swim we always have to have a shower and when we get into the pool we have to go our coaches.

I love to go swimming because it helps you if you are stuck in the middle of the sea. If you can’t swim you will drown.

How toys work

Toys can work by a push, a pull, a spin, a press or some toys work by winding them. This toy in the picture works by a press. This toy came from McDonald's. It is very old. It can work by pressing the palm tree on top. There is a spring inside that forces the chair to sway back and forth. It is a fun toy to play with!

Learning how to swim

Learning how to swim is very important to everyone in the world, so that is why we have swimming coaches at our school. Every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays Glen Innes aquatic center coaches come to our school and teaches us how to swim. It is so important to learn how to swim because if you're out in the water and panicking you just might drown. Our swimming coaches teach us a lot and I go to all swimming lessons therefore I am very good at swimming. So you should learn how to swim too.

Walt: write a narrative

One day there was a Polyfest. It was in Auckland. Me my mum and my brothers and sisters went to the Polyfest. It was awesome. When we got there I got hungry so we went to buy some kebabs. It was delicious.

A Polyfest is a day that  all the cultures get to perform on stage. It is very scary to perform on stage because if you make a mistake the audience will laugh.

I was tired and I went to sleep although it was very loud but when I woke up my parents were gone and I was lost. I ran very fast to the security guard, I told him I was lost and I am looking for my parents.

Then I saw my parents. They were in the car sleeping. Me and the guard went to the car and knocked on the window. My mum woke up and said “where have you been?”

I said “Looking for you, Mum.”

My mum said “Come lets go now, I am very sleepy.”

                                Learning to Swim

Swimming is a good so you don't drown.  At school we go swimming everyday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we have coaches that teach us swimming. I am in the third group which is the highest group.  Learning to swim is easy if you listen.  First, if you don't know how to swim, you start with a board then with no board.  After all that you learn how to breath. Finally you can swim.
